Ich habe das Buch jetzt zum ersten Mal gelesen. Damals als die Bücher rausgekommen sind hab ich nach dem vierten Band aufgehört zu lesen, weil mir alles zu düster geworden ist. Jetzt bin ich bereit für den Schmerz und das viele Leiden.

Und gelitten habe ich mit dem Buch mehr als genug, vor allem zum Ende hin. Es war ja nichts Neues, die Filme habe ich ja oft genug gesehen, deswegen hat mich am Ende des Buches nichts wirklich überrascht, aber es war trotzdem ein mächtiger Schlag in die Magengrube.

Trotzdem hat mir das Buch unheimlich gut gefallen. Ich mochte die Rückblicke, in das Leben von Voldemort, seine Vergangenheit und all das. Ich fand es vor allem spannend wie es erzählt oder eher gezeigt wurde. Am Liebsten hätte ich es ja gehabt, wenn wir alles gleich am Anfang erfahren hätten und Dumbledore gleich alle Karten auf den Tisch gelegt hätte, aber wo wäre denn da die Spannung geblieben. Also hat es schon so gepasst.

Die Kids werden älter und so fängt neben all dem Drama, mit dem sie erst schon zutun haben, jetzt auch das Liebesdrama an. Bräuchte ich es? Nein! ABER, es war unterhaltsam und hat die ganze Sache ein bisschen mehr aufgelockert.

Ich will auf jeden fall noch dieses Jahr das letzte Buch lesen, damit ich es geschafft habe, alle Bücher der Serie zu lesen und dann irgendwann mit der Illustrierten Version weiter zu machen LOL

I read this book for the first time ever, back in the day when the books wwere first released, I stopped reading after the 4th book because everything just got to dark for me. Now, these days, I'm in it to (not to win it but to) suffer.

And, oh boy, how much did I suffer throught this book, especially towards the end. Nothing new happened, cause I watched the movies more than once and I knew what was going to happen but the end still was a suckerpunch in the gut.

Still, I truly loved this book. I loved the flashbacks into the life of Voldemort, his whole backstory and everything. I especially loved how it was told and 'showed'. Of course, I would have loved if Dumbledore would've just told everything in the beginning and be done with it BUT that wouldn't have been suspenseful at all. So it totally worked for me.

Other than that, the kids are getting older, so with all the usual drama they deal with, now they also deal with relationship drama. Is it necessary? No! But, I still think it was entertaining and it kinda lightened things up a bit.

I really want to read the last book this year, cause I want to finally be done with the series, just so I can reread it in the illustrated version LOL
