Shattered Blue!!!

Shattered Blue - Lauren Bird Horowitz

First things first: I received an ARC through NetGalley.

The book comes out in 10 days, if any of you are interested in checking it out.

The first quarter of the book, I wasn't completely sold and thought the book would problaby be kinda meh for me. But as the story continued I couldn't have been more wrong.

The things I love about this book, apart from the characters that I love so dearly, is the fact that we get answers pretty fast. Of course Callum is a bit hesitant to tell Noa who or what he is, but it happens pretty early in the book. I hate when these things get dragged out. And still, the last few pages held lots and lots of twists, that I didn't see coming and that totally shocked me. It was amazing.

Like I said, I really love the characters. Noa is just this wonderful broken but still strong person. Sasha, her little sister is just that whirlwind of energy and just amazing. Miles and Liv, they kinda disappear towards the end. One paragraph they want to follow Noah and Judah, and then we never hear from them again, that was a bit weird. Callum and Judah. The brothers. When there are siblings were one is always seen as the good guy and the other is only seen as the bad guy. I always get super interested in the bond between them and how they can overcome there problems and get close again. I don't think that with these two there is a bad and a good brother. They both messed up, they both lied, they both did terrible things. But they also did good things, they regret some of their decisions. They made mistakes. They are human. Or well, Fae.

Given the love aspect of the book, I knew that triangle was coming as soon as Judah showed up. How could it not. But I still appreciated that it wasn't shoved in my face the whole time. It wasn't the typical 'Everything is falling apart but there is this love of my life that I have only known a couple of days, but there is also this other dude, that I kinda have feelings for, so everything is complicated and figuring that out is the most important things in my life right now' type of situation. First came the story, then there was the feely feels stuff.

The little poems that we got from time to time. Totally in love!!!

I absolutely love this story and I can't wait to read more of it.

(little bit of spoiler warning for the next sentence!!!) Especially now that they are on their way to Aurora. We heard stories about this world but I can't wait to dive more into it and see how it's build.
