This book is my favorite book I have read this year. It truly was a beautiful and magical adventure.

Summary: To my great misfortune, I was once mistaken for an angel

This book started as a waiting room book for me. Whenever I had an appointment this month, this book was in my bag and came out whenever I had to wait for an hour. I loved it especially in the dentist office, while I was waiting for my mom's appointments to be over, cause they always play classical music and that fit the book just so much. It soon became a, I don't want to wait for the next appointment, I need to read it at home, too.

It's such a fast read. The writing is beautiful and truly magical. I went through every emotion a human being can go through with this story. I just love these Roux/Lavender women so much. This wasn't just a story about Ava Lavender, this was a story about all the strong women in her family that came before her. I loved every single one of them.

Talk about strong female characters. Bad ass ladies who get shit done no matter their situations. A lot of terrible things happened but they truly stood tall in every thing that happened. Have I mentioned how much I love them?

This will be one of those books that I really REALLY want to re-read at least once every year, cause I want to go back to these characters again and read about them. Reconnect with them.
