Inhalt: Eine falsche Tote – ein wahr gewordener Albtraum

Mein Gott, das war wieder ein Leseerlebnis. Gleich von der ersten Seite an, hat es mich gleich gepackt und so blieb es bis zum Schluss. Bis zur letzten Seite, war ich wirklich voll in der Geschichte drinne. Die Spannung hat sich wunderbar bis zum Schluss gehalten und obwohl es mit über 500 Seiten nicht wirklich kurz war, hat sich nicht in einem Kapitel so etwas wie Langeweile eingestellt. Die Entwicklung des Falles verlief genau im richtigen Tempo.
Die Mischung aus Fall und Privatleben der Charaktere, war perfekt gewählt. Im ersten Buch war ich ja total vernarrt in Will und Angie. Ich muss sagen, dass das in diesem Buch ganz anders war. Angie war nicht oft da, aber ich war nicht wirklich begeistert als sie aufgetaucht ist. Komisch, so was hatte ich noch nie und kann es auch wirklich nicht erklären. Will hingegen, bleibt einfach mein absoluter Liebling. Ich mag ihn einfach so richtig sehr. Und wir bekamen Faith Mitchell neu dazu. FAITH MITCHELL. Ich mag sie einfach total gerne und bin froh, dass sie auch in weiteren Büchern auftauchen wird, jetzt wo sie Wills Partnerin ist, müsste das ja so sein. Ich mag auch die Entwicklung ihrer Beziehung zu einander richtig sehr. Ich mag die eigenartige Freundschaft, die sich im Laufe des Falles zwischen ihnen entwickelt hat, so sehr und freu mich auf mehr davon.
Ich bin noch nicht so verrückt nach der Serie, wie vorher nach der Grant County Serie, aber ich bin auf dem guten Weg dahin. Ich hab auch gleich das nächste Buch angefangen zu lesen.

Good god, what a ride. Right from the first page, I got really into the story and it stayed that way until the end. Til the last page, I was super invested in everything that was going on. The suspense was there until the very end and even though with over 500 pages, it isn't really a short book, there wasn't any part of the story that bored me. The pace of the case and the writing overall, was just perfect.
The mix between case work and the private life of the characters was perfect. In the first book I was head over heels for Will and Angie. In this book, I have to say that I didn't really feel it. Angie wasn't there that much but when she showed up I didn't get excited at all. This never happened before and I can't even explain it. Will, on the other hand, will always be my favorite. I just love this awkward turtle. And we got Faith, a new face. FAITH MITCHELL. I just love her and I'm so happy that she's going to be in the other books as well, I mean, she's Will's partner now, so she has to be. I love the developement of their relationship and how at the end of all this, they build this weird friendship. I can't wait to see more of that.
I'm not as crazy about the series yet, as I was back when I read the Grant County series, but I'm getting there. I already started the next book right away.
